New article on My Green Lake and how you can help

My new article on My Green Lake was published today, and there is a chance for you to help!

The story is about a local young woman named Jessica who wants to get to The Ellen Show in order to inspire others with her brain cancer story. I had the opportunity of co-writing this with my friend, Carla Alo (@firepraiser), who has also survived brain tumors and was able to provide a perspective that I could not. I appreciate both of these women and their willingness to share their time and stories with me!

If you want to help Jessica Oldwyn get to The Ellen Show, please tell Ellen DeGeneres about Jessica by filling out this form and mentioning Jess’ blog, jessicaoldwyn.blogspot.com. (You could also mention the My Green Lake article if you want.)

Thanks for reading!

Welcome to the site!

Hello there!

As an introduction to who I am and this site, you can read the About page.

For now, I want to share one of the posts that I have written at Nutrition Nuts and Bolts. It describes what a Registered Dietitian (RD) is and the requirements that need to be met in order to be called an RD.

What is a Registered Dietitian? screen shot from Nutrition Nuts and Bolts

This is important to me because my goal is to become an RD. Understandably, in our acronym-saturated language, not everyone knows what that is, so this post should help with that and tell you a little about the track people take to get there.

Thanks for reading.
