After three years of serving the Green Lake neighborhood, My Green Lake has become part of EveryBlock Seattle, a website that allows neighbors to follow and discuss hyperlocal news online.

All of the previous My Green Lake links will remain functional.

It has been a great privilege to have the opportunity to work with editor Amy Duncan, who taught me about journalism, websites, and business. Thank you to all the people who shared their stories with me. I appreciate you sharing your time and life with me.

New article on My Green Lake and how you can help

My new article on My Green Lake was published today, and there is a chance for you to help!

The story is about a local young woman named Jessica who wants to get to The Ellen Show in order to inspire others with her brain cancer story. I had the opportunity of co-writing this with my friend, Carla Alo (@firepraiser), who has also survived brain tumors and was able to provide a perspective that I could not. I appreciate both of these women and their willingness to share their time and stories with me!
